A trip to the seaside can offer a genuine opportunity to escape from everyday life for older people who have few opportunities to leave their neighbourhood or home.
With this in mind, the association Bras dessus Bras dessous is organising a day trip to the Belgian coast for ten older people with reduced mobility, for whom a stay lasting several days would be more difficult to arrange.
This adapted excursion allows them to discover or rediscover the pleasure of spending a day by the sea, enjoy a change of scenery and share relaxing moments with other participants.
The initiative reflects the desire to make group outings accessible to older people facing mobility difficulties or social isolation.
With the support of the be.Source Foundation, ten older people can enjoy this day of escape, designed to promote their well-being, encourage social interaction and offer them an enjoyable experience outside their usual living environment.
