Seaside Getaway – Three-Day Stay in Wissant

For some older people, leaving Brussels and going on holiday for a few days has become difficult, if not impossible, without appropriate support.

To give them the opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery and experience the benefits of a seaside break, Bras dessus Bras dessous is organising a three-day getaway to Wissant, on the French coast.

Designed for ten older people with sufficient mobility to take part in the trip, this stay offers the opportunity to enjoy a different natural environment, share relaxing moments and strengthen connections between participants.

The aim is to offer them a genuine break from their daily routines by encouraging social interaction, new discoveries and the pleasure of sharing a group experience.

The project is supported in particular by a collaboration with Les Petits Frères des Pauvres, providing access to the Stella residence in Wissant.

Thanks to funding granted by the be.Source Foundation, ten older people can benefit from this initiative, which aims to promote their well-being, social inclusion and participation in activities outside their usual environment.
