Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders have a significant impact not only on those living with the condition but also on their families and loved ones. Family caregivers often face considerable emotional, organisational and social challenges.
Thanks to the support generated through the 2025 Brussels 20K Run, five families benefited from dedicated assistance over six months to help them navigate the realities of the disease.
This support helped reduce isolation, provided tailored guidance, connected families with appropriate resources, and offered a valuable space for listening and emotional support throughout a particularly demanding period.
