Mobitwin is a social transport service created by Mpact ASBL. Our mission is to provide an affordable transport solution for people with limited income who experience difficulties getting around.

Thanks to Mobitwin, you can continue to stay mobile and enjoy the activities you value. Our service enables older adults, people with disabilities and individuals with limited income to remain active and independent in their daily lives.

First, register with your local Mobitwin centre. Then, simply request your journey by phone or email a few days in advance.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Our areas of expertise

1. We guide families throughout their journey and encourage the development of appropriate places for exchange, support, and respite.

3. We train caregivers and professionals to promote our philosophy of care and support.
4. We advocate for the interests of families with public authorities.

BabbelBike organizes group cycling outings for older adults, people with reduced mobility or disabilities (adults and children), and individuals living with illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke-related conditions, cancer, and more. These rides are made possible through our adapted electric tricycles and dedicated volunteers.

Services offered:

• Painting and wallpapering/removal of wallpaper
• Minor plumbing work
• Minor electrical repairs
• Various handyman services (minor masonry, carpentry, etc.)
• Gardening
• Moving services with a 4 m³ van; the beneficiary must provide assistance for heavy items

Second-hand store and social café

Open every weekday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Fridays until 3:00 p.m.
And every first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Would you like to feel less alone, enjoy the company of a cheerful and reassuring person during the day, at night, and/or receive a small additional income? Don’t hesitate… welcome and support a young student during their studies. A rewarding experience for everyone !

The Watermael-Boitsfort branch can put you in touch with a volunteer neighbour for weekly meetups (a walk in the neighbourhood, a chat over coffee, a cultural outing, board games, etc.).

Regular group activities are also organized to create and strengthen social connections.

La Monnaie’s social programme aims to make the world of music, singing, and opera more accessible to vulnerable audiences, including older adults. To achieve this, it offers a wide range of activities:

• Every week, 20 singing workshops take place at La Monnaie, in nursing homes, local community centres run by Public Social Welfare Centres (CPAS/OCMW), day centres for seniors, and correctional facilities.
• Around 5,000 free tickets are distributed each season to disadvantaged groups through social sector organizations.
• Chamber music concerts and tailor-made recitals are performed at La Monnaie, as well as in nursing homes, CPAS community centres, correctional facilities, and other venues.
